busy, busy, busy!

sorry we haven't put up any new posts or checked out our favourite blogs in the last day or two - but we have been busy putting up new siding on our Volunteer Fire Hall. it looks great - picture coming soon! tomorrow we will spend the day making several salads for a friend's birthday party on saturday, attending the Senior's Blind 45 card game tomorrow night, then on saturday attending our friend's BD party from 2-4 and after that it's the Framboise Halloween Party. everyone is supposed to dress up - that's a big thing around here. next saturday is the Fourchu Halloween party and we all have to dress up for that one too! so we will dress up as hippies for this weekend's party. which won't be hard as we have been accused of being hippies by most people that we have met in the last 10 or so years. and have lots of hippy clothes! and next week - who knows? stay tuned - i will keep you informed.

do i sound like i am blathering? it's because i am. we're tired. really bone-tired. and sore. and need sleep. jambaloney is down for the count - but he was the last guy standing on the scaffolding when we finished the siding. i am going to join him for a nap in a few minutes. i will try and hit a few blogs before i go down.

give us a few days and i promise that we will catch up on all of your blogs. and i promise to get a new post up in a day or two...ok?

your friend,
kymber

  3. No need to say your sorry for having a life. Right now I have none as I am unemployed, maybe for the rest of my life.

Thanks for your comments on my blog. So very nice to get to know others from around the US, Canada, and around the world.

  5. I apologize for not visiting my favorite blogs lately, and i promise to do some catching-up with everyone in the next few days. We are experiencing cooler weather starting today (Thursday) and as for myself I'm looking forward to falls return to the Lancaster Pennsylvania area. And are the color of the leaves changing your your way folks as they are mine. Hope everyone has a great weekend and enjoy the beautiful fall season that has now begun. Richard from Amish Stories.

  6. I'm tired and busy too, and need to catch up on my blog reading as well. In fact I just posted a photo of me asleep on my blog and that's where I'm going now ... to bed!

  7. oh Helga - i am up for a bit before going back down - i never sleep for more than 2-3 hours at a time - which is why i get exhausted in the first place - bahahaha! jambaloney is up after a nice nap too - but he is sooo tired - they worked him to the bone this past few days and that is after all the work that he has done in the attic, the basement, the raised beds, etc.

i am not trying to sound like we are whining - i am sorry if it came across that way - not my intention at all. we are very glad to be accepted by the community the way we have been and we are very glad to help out in every way that we can.

but it has been a few tiring days! Helga thank you for stopping by. i will update you on all of the parties and dances that we have over the next couple of days. holy crap - i forgot - we have bingo on sunday too - bahahahahah!

    your friend,
    kymber

  8. oh Rob - we are very much enjoying your blog! you will not be unemployed for life, my friend - i know that a job is coming your way!

and Rob - we feel exactly the same way. what a nice thing to get to know like-minded people from all around the world. but we really like our American friends - you all are close enough to get here quick if SHTF - or we can go there to you. gonna need your address buddy. send me an email at kymberzmail@gmail.com. and i'll send you ours.

PracticalP - i can always count on you to understand. we have worked our butts off this past few days and are really feeling it. simply because we were working a 10-12hr day at the fire hall and then coming home and trying to get our attic finished! but i promise to put up pics of our halloween party for you!

Richard - there is never a need to apologize! we sooo enjoy the work that you do at Amish Stories and hope that you have enough time on your hands over the next several years to keep that blog going - we are learning so much! we are only now starting to see a touch of fall colours - i will post some pics over the next few weeks for you to see!

Joey - i laugh everytime i see you here - there is nothing here on this blog that would interest you. and yet - you keep coming back! it means the world to me my friend!

now go and get some rest! i mean it dear friend. and please come back again. i sooo enjoy your visits!

to all of you - thank you for your supportive and positive comments - you all have no idea how it soothes a tired soul. thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

  10. Aww...Kymber, no need for apologies. We all understand and it's hard to post a post every single day. I think that might be why I burned out on my blog and post so sporadically.

So...my friend, take all the time you need, don't worry about us. I am pretty sure we will all still be here waiting for you when you come back.

    Hugs and Love

  12. Tango - i finally went down hard at about 4:30 this morning. and just woke up now at 9:30 - what an awesome sleep! but jambaloney was up at 7 and gone out the door at 8 - he had to go into town to pick up a few groceries for the salads that we are bringing to our friend`s BD party tomorrow.

Fel - thanks so much. and i think you are right - it is easy to get burned out. i have a dozen or so almost finished posts saved - but i just haven`t been able to get one finished!

Donna - we are busy bees! we have been on the go working on our house for the past 10 months and since June we have had 2-3 weekly events in the community. we do love participating but this past week was real work - it needed to be done and so we all just worked until we dropped.

but the fire hall has new siding - woohoo!

thanks to all of you for stopping in. new post coming soon!
