some bunnies for Rain and Toirdhealbheach Beucail

Rain is an excellent artist and you can check out some of her work at her blog page Rain's Garden. Toirdhealbheach Beucail simply loves bunnies, has bunnies and volunteers working with bunnies. TB's blog is The Forty-Five. you can find both of their blogs listed in our blogroll.

why all this bunny talk? well, because Rain suggested in a comment that i take up painting. when i read that comment to jambaloney he spit coffee all over himself, fell out of his chair, banged his head, stumbled around a little all the while screaming 'BAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

i replied back to Rain that the only thing i could draw was a bunny from the letter B. get ready to be astounded and make sure to take notes.

you start with a B...i chose to make this one pink.

next comes the ears....you can see the bunny forming now eh?

next up, an eye, a nose, some whiskers, a little smile.

don't forget a little bunny hand and heaven forbid you forget the tail.

last up are bunny feet - have a look - i'm quite pleased with myself.

but then i thought - what about an action shot. like the bunny leaning over a log. it wasn't easy but the result is pretty majestic!

here's both the still and the action.

kids - you want to get your orders in fast as i am sure these are gonna sell like wild! and Rain - thank you for getting me back on the path of drawing. next up - water colours!~ oh ya baby!

BAHAHAHAHAHAAHHA!

  1. I think everyone has some artist in them if properly motivated and brought out. I don't paint very often because as hobbies go, I am more focused on others much of the time but when I do, I'm sometimes surprised at what I can turn out if properly motivated.

    1. Ed - i am pretty good at writing poetry (which i keep to myself) and songs (i keep those to myself as well)...i am really good at hearing tones in songs...but art??? oh man i suck! i hope that you get to do more artistic things but when i see the beautiful work that you do with wood - it makes both me and jambaloney call you "an artist". do some more painting. and share it on your blog. we'll tell you if you suck or not. no worries there buddy! xoxox

    1. Rain - i have always thought of myself as a "run-around-nekkid-in-the-yard-ar-teeste", just not the drawing/painting kind. i am absolutely an ar-teeste of "being nekkid down at the river sighing and moaning as i roll around on my cheap mat enjoying the sun"...and when it comes to walking out into the river in my bare feet (in all the silt and mud and sand - jambaloney wears shoes if you can believe that!) i am definitely an ar-teeste. and no one, no one, not even leonardo davinci can suck every last bit of juice out of a lobster. i am a lobster-juice-sucking ar-teeste that has never, ever lived. i think those things are pretty big things to be. oh and i have a very competitive side to me - anyone who thinks they can beat me in the above things - i say bring it on - bahahahah!

i'm glad i made you smile. if you can make only one person a day smile - then i think you are living up to your duty as a human. xoxox

  3. PS: talent is subjective, remember that! I know you're saying you're a B-letter bunny drawer...but trying your hand at watercolours isn't such a bad idea!!

    1. bahahahah! water colours? i'd just smear different colours all over a page or a canvass. hey wait - isn't that exactly what modern artists do? hmmm...we might be on to something here! xoxox

I-bun wishes to communicate that he also approves.

    1. TB - i knew you would be the one to properly identify the bunny that i chose to draw. I-bun's approval is AAAAALLLL that matters to me! xoxox

    1. well Susan - i hate to brag...but i am really good at sorting socks...socks that don't get washed with their partner and then you have these loose socks floating around until their partner gets washed - but now i feel like i am bragging. then again, i don't know of anyone who can lay out in the sun and sigh and moan as many times as me. it's hard having all of these talents...but i try to maintain them as best i can. it's not for the faint of heart and it isn't easy...but i got the big shoulders. i do all of this for the benefit of mankind - bahahahhahah! xoxoxo

  6. I think your bunnies are really cute! Perhaps, like me, your talent lies more in "doodling" than true art. It's still a talent. ;)

    1. Kelly - i spent years of crafting that bunny from a B. years of hard work. i am just glad it has finally paid off. i am expecting a flood of requests for those bunny drawings from my internet friends.

*NOT A BIG GIANT HINT FOR MY INTERNET FRIENDS TO START COMMISSIONING MY DRAWINGS*
