that's it! i've had it! a kymber rant!

our country recently elected a brand-new prime minister. he's very liberal but liberal in canada is A LOT different than liberal in the US. when he was running for election, he promised to put appropriate cabinet ministers in his cabinet and on his first day of being prime minister he did just that! half of his cabinet are women, women who are qualified to run their ministries and half of the cabinet are men, men who are qualified to run their ministries.

some examples: our Minister of Health is an ACTUAL doctor.
Our Minister of Families, Children and Social Development is a poverty economist.
Our Minister of Science is an ACTUAL scientist (and she won a nobel prize).
Our Minister of Veterans Affairs is a quadriplegic.
Our Minister of Sport and Persons with Disabilities is a paralympian athlete.
Our Minister of Transport is an ACTUAL astronaut.
and Our Minister of Defence is a war hero who served in bosnia and did 3 tours of afghanistan. he was formerly a decorated police officer prior to joining the canadian forces. in the forces he attained the rank of lieutenant colonel. he is also the first Sikh to command a canadian army regiment.

2 of Our Ministers are people of the First Nations.
3 of Our Ministers were born outside of Canada, and one was a refugee.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he wanted his cabinet to be a reflection of canada and he delivered! some canadians are proud, some canadians are waiting to see what else this young, intelligent, family man will come up with in the next several months - they'll pass judgement on him then. most canadians are just looking forward to what some young blood and a crazy cabinet can do for canada. and we are hopeful!

when Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was asked after his swearing-in ceremony about why his cabinet was half female and half male - he looked a little confused and answered kind of smugly with "because it's 2015"...and followed that with a look that looked like a "duh" to a stupid question. you can youtube it if you are so inclined.

all of this as an intro to: most of my friends know, i have been accused of being a feminist for most of my adult life - something i have never been. and i am certainly not sexist.

so to watch the canadian media and international media insult Our new Prime Minister by not focusing on his platform, but instead focusing on his looks makes my blood boil. do some searches and you will see that the canadian media, and the US media and some of the European media are calling him a "hottie", "the sexiest prime minister on the planet", "gorgeous", "delicious" - and then this last one that made me lose my nut and write this post -

there is now a twitter hashtag thingy (i don't understand how twitter works, forgive me) - but there is a now a hashtag thing for him called "PMILF" (prime minister i would like to....you get it. it's like MILF.)

i am sickened that women, some of whom are declared feminists, have the gaul to call Our Prime Minister a "hottie". All of the years i have listened to women scream about being treated very cavalierly because of their looks and because they are women and blah-blah-blah.

to any woman who is participating in sharing pictures of Our Prime Minister boxing shirtless, going gaga over his "dreamy blue eyes" and "sexy physique"....go jump off of a cliff. i am sickened by your actions and on your stupid behalfs i ask forgiveness for your idiotic and sexist stupidity.

i guess all of their feminist b*tching-whining-moaning-and-complaining about being treated like a piece of meat doesn't work when they are doing it. to a man.

to Our Prime Minister, i offer my sincere apologies. to his wife, i can't imagine how upset this must make you.

if you are a woman and have mentioned Our Prime Minister's looks...even if only once - go hang your head in absolute shame. in absolute shame.

whether you agree with his politics or not - he is not a piece of meat to be oggled.

kymber stepping off the soap box now.
(but please don't be stupid enough to say something about Our Prime Minister's looks to me. you'll be drop-kicked in a heartbeat.)

  1. Have a BIG glass of wine, get in the hot tub, and try to calm down.... Or, Run around the house, and scream as loud as you can. Maybe that will help.

And it's not fair, our garden is already gone.

  2. Well I think it would take a very very very special person to truly be qualified for a cabinet post for one country if they were born in another. Perhaps if they moved to the current country at a very young age maybe but I doubt any foreign born person would really have an understanding of the natural born citizens. Doesn't mean they don't have a part to play in government just that I don't agree they are the best choice for a top position.

As for Women voter hashtags and sexy prime ministers well I have never understood why women's heads explode in large numbers. It's like the level headed ones are so reasonable but then you see the overall numbers and wonder where all the insane ones were hiding before they went to the ballot box.

    1. PP - i agree that it takes a very special person...but here in canada, our immigrants seem to assimilate a little better than in the US. as for our defence minister, his family immigrated here when he was young. and he has served as a police officer and is a vet who was on the ground and made a difference. here are some things that have been said about him:

"He was the best single Canadian intelligence asset in theatre, and his hard work, personal bravery, and dogged determination undoubtedly saved a multitude of coalition lives," said Brig.-Gen. David Fraser in a letter to the Vancouver police.

"Through his courage and dedication, [then] Major Sajjan has singlehandedly changed the face of intelligence gathering and analysis"

all of our senior military members, most of whom are very respected by the grunts in the forces are saying that he is a "bad-ass" and they have no problem serving under him as our minister of defence.

as for women...you are right. some of them appear normal and sane and then chuck a good-looking PM at them and they lose their minds.

i am very glad that Mr. Trudeau won the election, but i have no doubt that a good 35-40% percent of the people that voted him in were women...and they based their votes on his looks. still shuddering.

but looking forward to what he and his new cabinet will do for canada! sending love buddy! xox

  3. I haven't seen him yet. So, no PMILF comments from this reporter at this time. I will say it is refreshing to hear of a politician actually doing what was promised. Time will tell if he will continue the trend.

    1. Daddy - when his father was the PM of canada for something like a million years - he was loved or hated - no in between! but his father did a lot of shaking up, established our beloved charter of rights and freedoms and even put canada on martial law for "terrorist activites" back in the 70's. so our new PM was brought up in politics, is highly educated, very intelligent but also grew up being a regular canadian kid with the same interests and ideas as most canadians. i am hopeful and watching what he and his cabinet will do in the next few years. sending love to all of the Daddy Hawk family! xox

  4. Kymber you'll set off one if those headaches of yours.....

But when you said: "i guess all of their feminist b*tching-whining-moaning-and-complaining about being treated like a piece of meat doesn't work when they are doing it. to a man."

You were spot on. Many of those groups like to have it both ways.

    1. Matt - i think i set off a doozy of a headache already - it's just that i hate the double standard, ya know? if our PM was an attractive female and that's all the media were reporting, there would be feminists marching in the streets and burning down buildings the likes of which would make Ferguson proud.

i hate double standards. but i send much love to my bro! xoxo

  5. I met Pierre Elliot Trudeau when I was 15 and I still remember him asking me about my 4-H steer. He was genuinely interested in what I was doing with him. I lived in Alberta and I have to admit the Sr. Trudeau was not liked even though as Prime Minister he had PRIDE in Canada and gave us an identity of more than being polite!
I think this young man will go far and be very good for Canada. I agree wih you about the stupidity of a lot of modern females...they don't want to be judged as a sex object but they act like one!

    1. PET was quite the man and quite the PM. i am sure that his son will continue in his father's footsteps - he will be a mover and a shaker here in canada and in the international political arena.

i am holding high hopes for what JT will do here in canada for canadians! sending love to you and Ralph! xox

  6. Gurlie, My Canadian Angel- its the good ole double standard. They cry about strip clubs and porn, but its perfectly fine to go to a bachlerette party and a male stripper there. .. I just SMH. So with your new PM, do you like him? Does this mean there is hope for the USA? Much love to you and Jam

    1. Gurlie - what is it with you and your comments always coming up doubles? oh right - it's because your comments are so good they need to be read twice - bahahahahah!

but yes - you are so right - the double standard! when men do it, it's sexist. when women do it, it's allowed. i hate it.

i really like our new PM and i have very high expectations for him. jambaloney is a little more aloof and is waiting to see what he actually does over the next little while. but i am very confident that he will bring changes that are good for canada and that he will maintain,if not strengthen, our good ties with the USA.

sending much love back to you and Senior and the boys! xoxoxo

  8. I think you made your point perfectly clear, Kymber. I like this part, "go jump off of a cliff. i am sickened by your actions and on your stupid behalfs i ask forgiveness for your idiotic and sexist stupidity." You don't leave anything to guess work there. I like direct, honest communication, especially when it involves people that ride shetlands. No offense to horses of smaller stature, it's just a saying Frank has had for years when it comes to people that do stupid things. Intellectually speaking, you have to 'shoot low, they're riding shetlands" otherwise, they won't be able to understand what you are saying. It's nice to know you have high moral standards, Kymber, that says a lot for a person.

    1. thank you Fern! and let Frank know that there are now two canadians using the term "shoot low, they're riding shetlands" - bahahahahah! that's a pretty funny saying and one that we had never heard before. again Fern, thank you for truly getting the point. sending much love to you and Frank! xoxo

  10. You should be happy to know that here in the Midwest, I have not seen one word on the hotness of your prime minister. Really, the only thing they have said was that he was liberal would should make him a good ally for the U.S. Not being really up on the political parties of Canada, I guess I'm unsure how that works.

I always like seeing any politician new to the game who is willing to shake status quo up a bit, even if I come out on the worst end of it. We need more shake up politically.

    1. Ed - i am very glad to know that you have not heard a word about our PM's looks...the midwest has always seemed like a sane and healthy place...thank goodness those places still exist. but his looks are all over the big news media here in canada and the US - there are even articles and memes comparing his looks to Putin's looks - it's just stupid and so childish!

and you and me are very alike - i like it when new blood comes in and the first thing they do is shake it all up. and he seems like he is going to do a lot of shaking up in the next few months. i am looking forward to it.

sending much love to you and all of your family. xoxo
