coolish and grey today but fantastic yesterday!

today it is cool and grey but yesterday was fantastic and we got a ton of stuff done! woohoo!

we re-potted all 35 of my little pepper seedlings and put them in the greenhouse! woohoo again!

we also re-potted the 11 pepper plants that we over-wintered in the house - some of whom have already produced fruit!!! in MAY!!!! it`s time for a better word than woohoo but i can`t think of one - so woohoo it is!!!

we moved all of the tomatoes from the big shelf in order to be able to put the peppers on the big shelf. the tomatoes are now scattered throughout the greenhouse. here`s just a few of them.

here`s Frankie Blue Eyes sleeping on his little blankey under a coffee table on the porch. he sleeps in the weirdest positions!!! and W, you are welcome - bahahahah!

here`s the man out weedwhacking the front yard - it was getting pretty overgrown out there. and now lots of green! there`s that word wahoo again....can`t help myself. just so darn pretty out there now!

someone (not pointing any fingers at the guy who did the wheedwhacking) hacked a little too close to the daffodils. so i saved this beautiful little guy and he now lives as a centrepiece on the table. i love yellow!

hey check these little babies out! when we were re-potting the peppers that we over-wintered, we plucked the fruit off of any that had fruit. here they are. imagine - our peppers grew fruit in the house IN MAY?!!?!?!?!??!?

they were promptly added to our own home-grown mesclun lettuce with some shrimp and some homemade caesar dressing. with little pita rondelles - makes a great dinner.

this morning i woke up wanting poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. oh ya baby! on sourdough toast and i also put the hollondaise on the steamed broccoli.

it was deelish!

now i am off to catch up on some blogs and then, because it is such a grey day - i think we'll watch a movie. i hope you all have a great day, too!

  3. In that picture of J working out in the yard, is that a river in the background?

I am still waiting for it to dry out enough here to do a few minor chores. Having nothing else to do, I am considering driving to town. I'm that bored.

    1. Harry - it seems that a few of you are confused about the "river" in the front and back of the yard. if you look through old posts of the front yard, you will notice that it is called Strachan's Brook and it drains into our river, the Framboise River which is in our back yard. so we can see rivers in front of our yard and in back of our yard. but any river posts that i post, are about the river in our back yard....and we own 200ft of it - wahoo! when i say that we go down to the river, i mean the Framboise River in our back yard. but having Strachan's brook to look at when we are at the kitchen table, or sitting out front in our rocking chairs is pretty awesome, too.

and you must have driven into town. i hope that you had a little bit of fun! much love buddy, to you and yours always! xoxox

  4. Sweet Kymber,

We know who weed whacked a little to close to your flowers "JJJJJJJJJJJJJ"

It's so gorgeous in the pictures up there, what's the temperature like right now? Were in the 80's with all kinds of rain. In fact, I've had to pull some lettuce up and put it in the compost. To much rain= rotten vegetables.

Nice harvest on your veggies and you don't even have them in the ground yet :-)
Your tomatoes, and pepper plants really look very healthy my friend. Like I mentioned before, you and SCI will be called the tomato and pepper queens of the garden. Bahahahahahahahaha!!!!

OMG, that salad in the picture......to die for!!!!

Enjoy your afternoon at the beautiful Framboise Manor.
Sending hugs and love to you both.
    Your Friend,
    Sandy

    1. Sweet Sandy - we ALLLLL know who wheedwhacked a little too close and "someone" is a little miffed that you pointed it out - bahahahahahaha! oh Sandy - it is finally spring here, and after such a long winter, we are so grateful. the average temps for the past few weeks are about 8-10C - perfect for this time of year! and ya, imagine harvesting veggies from plants that aren't even in the ground - bahahahahah!

as for Sci - if she weren't such a good friend, i'd brain her for winning my solar lights! but i am very happy for her. she will definitely love them!

Sweet Sandy, as always, we are sending love and hugs right back to you and all of yours!!! xoxoxox

    1. Mike - a bunch of people have been confused by the river in our front yard and the back yard. the "river" in the front yard is called Strachan's Brook and it empties into our river, the Framboise River. the Framboise River is in our backyard. as for google, don't do satellite view, do map view and you will be able to see it all better. Strachan's Brook is about 250 metres from our house, and our 200ft of riverfront on the Framboise River is about 325 metres from our house. try google maps again and you will have a good idea where we are. i'll send you an email with the exact lot PIDS. so glad that you liked your keychain and that was so sweet of you to send a pic. much love buddy! xox

    1. Ed, buddy - i don't have much to say back to you ever since i saw that beautiful vanity - WITH DRAWERS - that you built from scratch! i thought the shower was almost enough to end the friendship. but THAT BEAUTIFUL VANITY pushed it over the top.

i am afraid that we can no longer be friends. unless you build me a vanity as beautiful as yours. i await said vanity in the mail. we can continue the friendship after it's arrival.

however, i still send much love to you and yours.

  7. I agree w/Ed eggs w/hollandaise sauce is the best. Those plants all look great. I bet J was sorry about the daffodil. Our gladiolas are coming up again at the Country House. Plan on putting down some fertilizer next time we go & we'll hopefully have some more blooms.
