Stephen got his package yesterday...and wrote the sweetest post about it here - please check it out! His Little Bit is just so cute! we sooo enjoyed sending off this package - and there are a few more in the mail for some of our other blogging friends.
it feels nice to have such wonderful friends. we are ending a busy day filled with seed-starting, setting up 2 new composters, reading, spring-maintenance of ALLLLLL of the fishing gear (fishing season opens up on April 15!!!) and lots and lots of hottubbing! and now sitting down and reading Stephen's beautiful post - ahhhh...do days really get better than this???
Helga and Mrs. S. - i look forward to hearing about when your packages arrive. Sue - have you received your package from Humble Wife yet?
we love having internet friends. it is really fun.
but thank you for such a beautiful post, Stephen. there really is a reason why i call him our/my dear sweet one!
You two are special people. Your bee card still sits on my desk bringing a smile with every glance. Your sumac seeds will go out to post before my dentist appt on Saturday. Enjoy the rest of your day!ReplyDelete
oh Beth - that was so sweet! and i am glad that the bee card brings you a smile - i love that card!!! and thanks so much for the sumac seeds - i can't wait to start them and let you know how they are growing over the season - woohoo! xoxoDelete
Thanks, kymber....you are the special one. I have bad news. Not long after I ordered Jamie's pinks off the internet, the company called and said their last order to Canada shipped last week. End of season, as I feared. Nothing more until November. I'm working on other ideas...I'm so sorry. Like I said...other ideas are on my burner.ReplyDelete
Stephen - no probs buddy - it's the thought that really matters and we did not want you to incur such an expense!!! and other ideas sounds very, very interesting??? teeheehee.Delete
Kymber, Many years ago, someone marvelled at how I have such good friends. I told them that to have good friends, one only needs to BE a good friend. The reason you and Jam have so many good friends, is that you ARE truly good friends. I am so honored just to be among them. Get well soon Stephen. You and your family have been in our prayers. Love to you all.ReplyDelete
Jane - as Helga said below - you always say it best. i couldn't agree with you more - you have to BE a good friend to have good friends. and we got a ton of them right here on this blog!!! it's so awesome!Delete
you are certainly counted among my friends, and the honour is all mine! xoxo
I am collecting mice and moles to send to you guys. I have a box built with a immigration promotion flier stating that the critters can start a new life in a foreign country where no harm will come to them. I baited it with cheese and grubs.ReplyDelete
I will include the asparagus with it but no guarantees they mice won't eat some on the way :)
oh PioneerP - see what i mean about having good friends?!?!? there you are collecting mice and voles for us. you just can't find better friends - bahahahahah! you can keep the mice and voles, buddy, but i'll give you jambaloney's left arm for the asparagus - bahahahaha!!! (i'd give you his left leg but i already gave that to Beth!)! thanks buddy!Delete
Hey Kymber - What wonderful gifts you sent to Stephen and his family, and what a beautiful post he put up. Amazing !ReplyDelete
I was the one supposed to be sending to you, and I did Tuesday morning. Canada Post said approx. 7 to 10 business days. Dang, that seems long ! So what's this I read about you sending to me ... HUH ???? I'm stumped in a good way of course !
Jane always says it best and I mean every word she said. LOL !!
Take Care Sweet Friend - xoxo
Helga - he did write up a real sweet post - i loved all of the pics of Little Bit!!! and i can't wait to get your package - and yes, there is one on the way for you!!! it's nothing much, just a little something to brighten your day! and you are right - Jane does have a way with words and as i said to her, having you as my friend - well, the honour is all mine! (oh i promise to finish that half-started email back to you soon!)! enjoy the rest of your week dear friend! xoxoDelete
Kymber - I'm excited for you to get the package too ! I just pray it gets there in one piece - even though it was tagged as fragile. A little something to brighten my day - you brighten my day ! No worries about the email - it'll get done when it gets done. No pressure from me ever.Delete
You guys have a great rest of the week too !
Love Always - Helga xoxo
Love and best wishes to you all. You are all comfort and encouragement to me especially when the days news is anything from concerning to downright distressing.ReplyDelete
Hope the pumpkin seeds arrive there in time for planting. There is nothing so far in the mailbox here, but it has been too cold for planting things outside without the protection of a greenhouse anyhow.ReplyDelete
