a little of this, a little of that

here's a pic of the river with the ice starting to melt. it should be melted in a few days as we are having very spring-like temps for the next several days and hopefully we have seen the end of the snow! there are a few patches of snow left from the last snowfall, but they are few and far between and will probably not make it until noon.

i hope that everyone enjoyed St. Patrick's Day yesterday. we had full intentions of going to the St. Patrick's Day Dance last night - but when it came right down to it decided not to go. that's a first for us! i think i caught the tail end of something when at the VFD meeting on wednesday night - nothing full blown - i just felt a little under the weather the last day or two! and jambaloney wasn't crazy to go to the dance either - if he had have been i would have forced myself to get ready and go be cheery but we both decided on a netflix night and watched some movies together, snacked, and hit the sack early. we are up early this morn, cats are fed, birds are fed - and we have a bright, full cheery sun and blue sky calling to us. yep - we will paint the living room wall and then take a walk to the river. with many trips to the hottub. and a few other chores strewn throughout the day.

i hope everyone's sunday is as sunny and cheery as ours! time to go hit up some friends blogs!

  2. We had much the same yesterday. Went to a flea market and stopped on the way home at the fish market and went home to a nice dinner and a few movies...early to bed. Like you, I was up at the crack of dawn with coffee and my Sunday morning newspaper. Nice. Take care, Dear kymber. All our love.

  3. No partying for us. Even with being half Irish I don't drink. Spent the day online tired of Basketball. Now I know why its March Madness, because you go nuts watching all the games. kymber try getting more vitamin C. We always wash our hands after we are out and about. Advice from my family RN's.

    1. teehee Rob, buddy - i don't like basketball at all. not really into any sports. i love competition cheerleading and gymnastics but most don't consider those "sports". maybe those who don't consider those "sports" should give them a try - trust me - they are sports.

as for the tip about washing hands, thanks buddy. it's something i always try to remember to do. i think it is because the Hall has been closed up all winter except for meetings and no clean, fresh air is getting in there. so whatever bugs have been deposited there since the fall are still kicking around. and one kicked me in the head. not too hard - just a little!

  4. Still waiting for things to dry out around here. Prolly won't get to plant anything today yet after the storm we got yesterday. This time of year everything is wet 24/7.

Hot tub sounds good though. Enjoy Hon.

  5. Hey Kymber,

Happy Sunday to you guys ! Even with a bit of ice left on the river, I see blue, blue, sky ... love it ! An evening of snacking and watching a good movie or two, sounds delightful ! My favourite way to spend a Saturday night ... only we are half nocturnal and never get to bed before 2 or 3am. We're the last ones up in the hood around here ! Oh who cares, right ? We get done what we need to get done. And Sundays - maybe not that much.

I'll write you an email this week ... take care my bestest , sweetest, friend !! We'll talk soon ... xoxox
