we're getting a puppy! we have already named her Katijya (Kat-ee-jya - the j is silent but the last syllable should sound kind of like a strong EEYa).
here she is:
she is a husky-collie/husky mix. isn't she gorgeous!
i have wanted to give jambaloney a dog for forever - he has never had a dog before! years ago, i taught jambaloney how to be around dogs and how to approach dogs and he was a natural! every dog he has encountered in the last 10+ years have loved him!
so now we are getting this beautiful female puppy! and from our neighbours! our bestest neighbour e! her son and wife's beautiful dog just had these puppies - wahooey!
and now our 3 male stray cats are getting a baby! Katijya is only a few days old but look at the size of her paws and shoulders! she is going to be HUGE!!! and our 3 male cats are going to have a baby to look after in about 8 weeks...and then she is going to guard them later in her life!
we will go and meet her in a week and a bit - we don't want to scare her and want to give her time with her 2 brothers (i want both of them too! they are gorgeous!) and mother.
i am sooooo excited. and i have already designated noodie-nu, our little cranky stray cat, who doesn't wear any pants, as her new mother.
that poor little puppy! bahahahahah! oh we are soooo excited!
Oh what a wonderful new family member. I am sure she will love being with you. Welcome Katijya.
ReplyDeleteRosezeeta.
thank you so much for welcoming little Katijya Rosezeeta - she has a name almost as beautiful as yours! xoxox
DeleteWhat a little heart breaker. Jambaloney is going to have to get a bigger boat for when she tags along when he goes fishing.
ReplyDeleteOur love to you both
Flier - it is sooooo nice to see you around again! we've been missing our favourite cowboy!!! and thanks buddy - now jam has your backup for getting a bigger boat! we're sending love back to you and Kathi, always! xoxox
DeleteThat is wonderful!!!! Every home needs a dog, just ask me , we have three!!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the world wee one!!!
thank you LTW! and i know - you have a menangerie! but you love them all and they love you! stop encouraging me or i will end up taking all 3 of the pups - bahahahah! xoxoxo
DeleteNo special Korean dish pictures in her future I hope :)
ReplyDeletetrust you, little brother to say something so awful! NO KOREAN DISHES IN HER FUTURE! you dumbass. love ya still tho. and still don't know why!
DeleteLol
DeleteHey you seem to like to cook everything you come across into some Korean dish. Ya never know. Iw as just checking to be sure :)
Deleteltw - i have no problem expecting more from you. tsk-tsk!
Deleteand PP - yes i love me some good korean dishes. but never of that kind. thanks for checking to be sure...ya nutter!
Oh. My. Gosh. How freakin adorable! I love the little white splash on her forehead. Can't wait to see more pictures. Someday when we are at the farm full time, we want a dog. But for now we'll live vicariously through others, ha. Congrats!!
ReplyDeleteOh and puppy/kitty pics are THE best. ;-)
1st Man - our friend's daughter sent me a pic of little Katijya's father when he was only 3 days old...he had the exact same spot on his head. this poor little dog girl is going to get raised by cats - incredibly nutty cats! i can only imagine the bill we are going to have to pay for her therapist - bahahahah! it's been years that i have wanted a dog and this just kind of fell into our laps at the exact right moment. you guys will end up with the proper dog that is meant for you both...no worries. until then, i will always keep you both updated with little Katijya's antics. oh and don't forget - the 3 cats are fixed males of different ages - this is going to be so fun! sending much love to the both of you - xoxoxox!
DeleteI bet Jam will have it spoiled rotten in 2 weeks :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd yes everyone needs a dog they make a home a home and they make great watch dog early warning alarms.
Mike, buddy - when jam gets this puppy he is going to fall in love! i have wanted to get him a dog for forever. but when we first moved here, i wanted our 2 cats to figure out their rhythm and get acquainted and feel safe. that took about 2 years. and then in our 3rd year here we got our little stray, Frankie Blue Eyes. so i didn't want to upset the balance. but now is the perfect time to introduce a little puppy. and she will be a fantastic guard dog! xoxox
DeleteYay Dogs! So happy for you.
ReplyDeletethanks so much TB - we are so very excited!!! xoxo
DeleteGood for you! Everyone needs a dog.
ReplyDeleteFern
thank you so much Fern - it is something i have wanted for a long time! xoxo
DeleteA house just isn't a home without a dog.
ReplyDeleteyou are sooo right Gorges - i can't wait for that little bundle to come to us! xoxox
DeleteWhat a huge ball of snuggles you've got en-route. Lucky you- and Lucky Her!
ReplyDeletejewlz - it is sooo going to be an adventure having her! thank you! we can't wait to bring her home! xox
DeleteSweet Kymber,
ReplyDeleteKatijya is gorgeous!!! I love the white socks on her paws. Jambaloney is going to love and spoil that puppy. I'm so.very.happy.for. you. two. Dogs are so loving, and make great protectors.
Sending hugs and love to you both.
Your Friend,
Sandy
Sweet Sandy - she really is gorgeous! of course you noticed the little socks! we can't wait to go and meet her and we especially can't wait to bring her home! she is going to make a great addition to our family....but oh man - those fat, lazy cats are going to be helping to train her. i can just see it - she'll be outside laying on the deck, birds will be landing on her head, squirrels will be using her as a jumping pad and she'll be none the wiser because that's how the cats will have trained her! bahahahaha!!! (our cats really are fat and lazy!)
Deletesending much love back to all of you! xoxoxox
You will enjoy her I am sure. We have four dogs. They are our extended family.
ReplyDeleteJohn - it seems like a lot of us on these connected blogs love our animals and think of them as family - it's a nice feeling for everyone to be happy for us! thank you!
DeleteThat's marvelous, Kymber. A dog adds so much richness to life and will be a very valuable member of the family. I would not be able to live up here in these woods without my loyal dogs. I look forward to hearing a whole lot more about the new addition.
ReplyDeleteoh Harry - we are sooo excited to get her! i know how much you love your dogs - heck - most of the people on all of our blogs are huge animal lovers. and dogs are the most loyal of all. well, from what i hear, ferrets are pretty loyal too - as long as you are feeding them and giving them lots of shiny things to play with - bahahahah! i will be getting much advice from all of our friends here who have raised and trained dogs - especially you! sending lots of love as always! xoxox
DeleteHmmm - I know exactly who is going to rule the roost. Far too much cuteness there :) And, as for that white diamond on the forehead... :)
ReplyDeleteDani - she is super cute! but as for ruling the roost - right now, our cranky little old man, nudie-noo rules the roost. and of our other 2 cats - one is completely dumb, and one is the smartest dumb cat we have ever met! and they are all going to be training this puppy. oh dear.
Deletesending much love! xoxo
She is lovely......there is one investment that always pays off with a puppy....time spent with them! Enjoy her!
ReplyDeleteFiona - she will be a definite investment in our happiness and i am sure begrudgingly, for our cats happiness. she will be very loved and cared for! xoxo
DeleteCat, puppy orientation should be a real scream. The cats may gang up on her at first, time will tell.
ReplyDeleteRob - as you know, our cats are a little on the dumb side. and they'll be helping to train her - it will definitely be a SCREAM! but we are hoping that because she is a baby and a she, that our 3 fixed male cats will be ok with her. we are going to introduce her slowly and at a rate that the cats, and her, are comfortable with. sending much love, buddy! xoxox
DeleteShe's precious, congratulations!
ReplyDeletethank you so much DFW - as i said above she is a definite investment in our happiness. as we will be for her! xoxoxo
DeleteHow cute. We will all need weekly updates.
ReplyDeleteteehee. Sol, you've read my mind. i think i am probably going to bore everyone to death with all of the updates! xoxox
DeleteI am secretly jealous I would love a dog. But am out all hours of the day. maybe one day
ReplyDeleteHow's it going up there? Did you get the puppy yet?
ReplyDeleteI praise your hard work, which makes blog helpful in the finding online puppies, thanks.
