it's not an easy life...but i try! bahahahahah!

obligatory sky pic for my dearest and sweetest Helga....guys, what can i do? she is my sister and i have to take sky pics for her. so just get over it k? but man that is a beautiful sky pic. the clouds here are so healthy - i want to eat them!!!

anyway - back to the yacht! we have a friend who is going out west for work, doesn't need his boat, gave it to us to take care of while he is away. did i say "boat'? i meant "yacht". it's super cammoflauged. you probably can't even see it in the pic below.

oh ya baby - there she is. although i think she is a he. oh well whatever. have another look. is that awesome or what?

i feel sorry for all of the rich folks floating around the mediterranean on their 100footers...how sad for them. check out the inside of our yacht.

it's a pleasure-craft to be sure. Mayberry, stop that drooling! here's a shot of jambaloney taking it out for a test spin.

and here's our Johnson 6 horse-power 2-stroke from the 1970's....that baby works like a charm!

and now we are heading out on the river - yachting is so much fun! we were doing 10knots/10mph here. we were flying!

oh man - it was so much fun! wish all of you were here with us!

going around a bend in the river. 6 different estuaries empty into our river. we will need to explore them all!

here's a gorgeous beaver house. they don't need to build any dams around here.

hey - that's the North Framboise Road bridge...we are currently going under it - woohoo!

look at the beautiful lilly-pads! hang on Helga, we're going really fast at this point!

oh wow. the life of a yachter is not an easy one. but i have big shoulders.

now we are heading back home after exploring only one estuary and not very far up it - we have much exploring to do for the rest of August!

there's those puffy clouds that i wish i could eat!

heading back home.

oh heck - that's me. understanding exactly why dogs hang their heads out of cars and trucks - man it feels awesome!

getting closer to home - isn't it beautiful....and not a single cottage, home or person for miles and miles - we love it here!

yep - that's home. that's our piece of the riverfront. we both gave up high-paying jobs for this. i think we made a wise decision.

here is the yacht in the ... ummm....yacht place? on land? it's nice eh? jambaloney dug this out in order to keep the yacht here.

oh and here is the yacht-launch and mooring...man, there are so many uses for tire-inserts and my man never passes up the opportunity to use them. hey, he built this in about 20 minutes...he's good on the fly like that!

speaking of my man....i took about 300 hundred pics of him driving the yacht - he doesn't like any of them and won't let me post them...but i am posting this one.....

my man driving our yacht. he never reads the blog unless i tell him to....so he will never know that i shared his gorgeousity with you all. teehee. our secret, k?

    1. oh 1st Man - we love it too! and ya, our property is 200ft of the riverfront - but there isn't a soul around so it's more like we own the entire river and it is huge! jambaloney has maybe seen 2 or 3 people on the river the whole time that we have been here!!!

thanks for keeping the secret, buddy, i knew i could count on you - bahahahahaha!

  7. Ahoy Captain Jam and First Mate Kymber ! I don't care how much they paid you at other jobs, living somewhere like Cape Breton Island is something millionaires fantasize about.
Kymber, you have long hair like me ! Daniel loves long hair !

    1. ahoy to you, Second Mate Jane - bahahahah! and yes, we really do feel like millionaires - we have everything we need and the only thing we want is to enjoy all of the beauty - so millionaires indeed! oh i am glad that Daniel loves long hair, i haven't had mine cut in over 3 years...it's getting pretty scraggly on the ends but i just can't be bothered to make a hair appointment - it takes me away from the Manor - bahahahah!

  8. Sweet Kymber,

Now that is what I call prime transportation! I love your yacht, that would be something Bulldog Man and I would have.
Trolling the river sure gives you a fabulous perspective of how beautiful the water, land and sky looks. Those clouds, omg.....they remind me of cotton candy, so fluffy and white! Yes, I could eat them up too.
Kymber I can't believe how long your hair is, it's so beautiful as you are my dear :-). The pictures on your blog show you with short or shoulder length hair.
Jambaloney looks like he's in heaven directing the yacht on the river and you my dear look like your trying to capture everything you possibly can all at once. Great pictures, they make me feel like I'm right there with you.
    Your Friend,
    Sandy xoxoxo

    1. sweet Sandy - i knew that you would like the yacht, and Bulldog Man, too - it's a pretty awesome little boat! and ya - the clouds remind me of cotton candy, too, and i want to eat them all up - bahahahah! ya my hair is pretty long, i started growing it out about 3 or so years ago, jambaloney wanted me to let it grow and i haven't cut it since i started growing it. i need a serious trim but can't be bothered - bahahah! jambaloney loves his canoe but he also loves a 12ft boat - that's what his grandad had at the family fishing camp and jambaloney drove that thing for 35+ yrs. so this little boat is right up his alley - he loves it - so do i! and Sandy, we'll get Helga and lotta joy to push over and make room for you and Jane - bahahahahah!

  10. The boat/yacht looks like a "he" to me, very phallic. I don't think there can ever be enough sky pictures! River pictures are very nice, too. Somehow, I did not think you had long hair...hmmm. And, exactly what is wrong with that picture of jambaloney? Silly man.

    1. 11. We have a little second hand electric boat in AZ, (We aren't allowed any other kind on the lake) and it doesn't look all that much, but I love it.

I noticed that hubby is watching his posture for the photo. :D Sit up straight, hold the stomach in. You have him well trained. :D

  14. If the "yacht" was any bigger, it might run aground or need a drawbridge. It's just the perfect size for your needs. Enjoy the ability to travel farther without having to paddle the whole way!

    1. Mrs. S. - you nailed it! although someday i do want a 100-footer - bahahahahah! our little yacht is perfect for our needs and we were able to get down to the ocean in about 10 minutes when we went the other day. we would be paddling for 45 mins if we were in the canoe!!!!

  15. There is nothing like being on the water, Those old motors will run forever. If you run all the fuel out when you winter it and use fresh gas in the spring you should have no problems.
BTW you dress better than Jambaloney.....just saying.

    1. Dear Duke - we love being out on the water! and yes - that motor is already over 30yrs old but it has been very-well taken care of and runs like a charm! thanks for the fuel tip - we'll be sure to empty the gas for overwintering and use fresh gas in the spring.

bahahahahah! jambaloney is in his underwear and i am in a size 12 little girl's nightgown - but i'll take the compliment as i usually do dress better! thanks buddy! bahahahah!
