i'm back - sorry for all the drama!!!

my account is unblocked. thank goodness!

after searching a million different things and trying a million different things....jambaloney sent another request to google, even though they specifically said not to send more than one request or you could screw things up, jambaloney sent another.

5 seconds later - if you can believe that?!?!?!?!? the freakin phone rang with an automated message from google providing me an access code that we entered and it unlocked the account. after all of the hours trying to get this sorted and spending all kinds of time trying to make albums and stories of my pics - when the account was finally unlocked i just had to go to bed. my nerves were shot.

jambaloney kept trying to tell me that either a person or a bot had tried to log into my account and was unsuccessful to whatever number of times that google has set before locking the account. i just felt that i had personally attacked and when i saw my pictures blocked but none of jambaloney's - then it really felt personal.

anyway, i still have not received an email or msg from google even though i sent several emails to them. and based on some of the comments i received, wordpress doesn't sound any better so i guess i will stay here. i will start backing up this blog and jambaloney is making me my own website soon so that i don't have to rely on blogger.

i honestly hadn't realized just how much i enjoy having this little blog!

i am sorry for all of the drama caused, and i thank each and every one of you for your advice and comments, which is will go in and answer right away. thank you all for taking the time to try and help! i really appreciate it!

  2. ARGHHHHH. This happened to me two years ago and I permanently lost my eleven year old blog with ALL my childhood, ancestral, and up to date photos. I was saving them on my blog figuring I'd always have them. NOPE! GONE!

A few days ago, all my email addresses and bookmarks disappeared and I have to use my memory (gone too) and luckily had written down a lot of passwords. (pencil and paper can beat the internet).

I've been getting apocalyptic warnings that I MUST enter my phone for a TEXT code. My phone doesn't text.

It's not your words (nekkid). There are uni-bombers with blogs!!!

I'm waiting for the orders to come requiring a chip be inserted.....

Of all the things we're wary of: war, homeland terrorists, home invasions and racial disturbance, the internet is sneaking in below our radar.

    1. oh lotta joy - i am so freakin sorry! 11yrs???? and all of your photos - ugh. that sucks so bad! ugh. oh double ugh.

do you want me to send you an email to get my email address back?

yep - i think the apocalyptic warnings are just another way that they are going to force us to give them our phone numbers - either give them your number or - oops - someone hacked into your google account AND THE ONLY WAY TO GET IT BACK IS TO SEND YOUR PHONE NUMBER!!!! i know that they already have every bit of info about us that is humanely possible - but now they gotta have our phone numbers too. and they SPECIFICALLY want your mobile number - hmmm - i wonder why???

i am going to try and include the word nekkid in every single upcoming post!

and yes - soon the only way to log into our email or blogs will recquire activating the chip that they have to put in our heads. glad i got mine years ago. oh crap - i probably only have version 1.0 and they are probably going to recquire version 6.0. great - now i have to have the previous chip removed before i can get the new chip. lovely!

  3. Well, sorry I didn't have any advise as I'm about as dumb as a box o' rocks when it comes to the 'puter, but I'm glad you're back. And it does feel creepy when something like that happens, doesn't it? We had our credit card hacked about a year ago and it was very creepy feeling for a while.

  4. Why would you apologize, you didn't do anything wrong. I'm glad you are back to "normal".
You could cut and paste your posts and toss them in notebook for future reference, I'm sure you already have the pictures somewhere backed up.

    Welcome back!

  6. I had my share of drama-filled posts about six months ago over blogger. It was the culmination of things going wrong for two years. Someone with code knowedge volunteered to go in as an author and fix it. It appeared all was lost, but it was just inaccessible to me until she fixed the code.

If I only knew how to back up.

  12. kymber...I did not see your troubles until late (I didn't have a solution anyway) I'm glad you got it all fixed. It took me over 5 weeks to get back into my blog. I just did not have the time to sit on a phone with someone who barely speaks English. I finally figured out they wanted my google accounts separated with different emails or merge all of the google accounts. My blog is still not back to 100% but it is enough to blog and leave comments.

  14. Glad to see you are back on the air as it were. Pay attention to the web addresses your browser is taking you to. If it looks like it is flipping to too many web pages I would bet that you might have a bug on board. Run anti-virus religiously for the next week or so and keep a physical written log on strange things your computer is doing.

  15. Don't apologize. You were hurt and worried and we are here. But I can say from experience, the stuff you think is a conspiracy isn't, it's just life and fate and blogger. The rest of it, well, that will wait for be shared over a glass of wine post retirement and a couple administrations down the road.

  17. Oh my gosh! Another crisis that I missed until the tale end. I couldn't have helped ... ill-computerit. But, I just wish I had been watching my blog feeds closer instead of crocheting my eye balls out and watching Netflix. Sorry.

It kind of worries me that this kind of thing happens to people. Will you please consider doing a post on backing up a blog? (For those like me who haven't a clue.)
