here's a beautiful sunset for my sweetest sister Helga!

Sandy, Jane, PracticalP and lotta joy...i hope that you guys love it too!

is there anything better than comfort food? i think not. and comfort food for me is smashed potatoes and gravy and big chunks of roast on a piece of bread. oh and some kimchi. i loves me some kimchi!!! and gravy! i love gravy - i make mine from my own home-made beef stock! i loooooove gravy!

what has Frankly-Mank been up to??? how about laying in the catnip tire, whacked out of his head. this is where we find him most days. he is an addict...and needs the Betty Ford Clinic! he walks around singing "they tried to send me to re-hab, but i said no, no no". that didn't work out so well for Amy Winehouse, Franklin, you NEEEEED rehab!!!!

Noodie-noo is happy to have one leaf of catnip. then he goes down for the count!

Barley chews his leaf and always spits out the last little bit. notice the blank stare in his eyes...and the little piece of catnip leaf that he always spits out. yes, i am raising little addicts. but they love the nip...what can i do???

and i cultivate catnip to dry for tea for human consumption? have you ever had catnip tea? oh, it is delicious! and it will calm you down and help you sleep!

oh ya - more pics of bulgogi! i made another batch and this one i let go for 72 hours in the marinade. you really need to let it marinate for 72 hours to get the proper flavour! you also must include toasted sesame seeds in the marinade and a shredded Japanese pear. if you can't get a japanese pear, an apple makes a good substitute!

oh yes - we were down at the river all afternoon - look at the beautiful blue colour of the river! and that one cotton-ball cloud. we had a wonderful time reading our books! and talking about this, that and everything else. we love spending relaxing time together. we even fell asleep in the middle of a conversation - bahahahah! and the whole time we slept we held hands and kept a foot and a leg touching each other. oh we slept the sleep of angels!

here are the weeds and rocks that i like to play in!

here's me dog-paddling...i am a really good dog-paddler - like really good! i wish there was an olympic sport for dog-paddling becuz if  there was - canada would definitely win the gold!!!

after a wonderful afternoon at the river, and a nap in the sun, we came home and made some chicken, mushroom, asparagus, brie and parmesan pasta - oh man was it good! we are so stuffed that it is time to climb on the couch and watch a movie on netflix. and then bed!

thank you all again for helping me when google blocked my account - i really, really appreciated your concern and support! i hope that you are all having a wonderful evening!

  1. Sweet Kymber,

I just love that sunset, it's so relaxing :-)
Oh wait, no .... no.... no.....it's the catnip!!!!! Bahahahahaha
You need to stop sharing that stuff with everyone..... :-)
Your cats sure seem to enjoy the catnip. Especially Frankie, OMG.....
Beef, gravy, smashed potatoes, bulgogi, kimchi, chicken, mushroom, asparagus, brie and parmesan pasta you'rr making me very hungry. To bad airplane fares are expensive right now, otherwise I would have invited myself to dinner, lol. Dinner tonight was a sandwich. I didn't cook tonight everyone fends for themselves.
They should create dog paddling as a sport in the Olympics, this way everyone could join hehehehehe. I don't think we would win medals though because we would have to much fun.
I'm happy to hear you and Jambaloney had fun and a relaxing day down by the water.
    Your Friend, Sandy
Sending love your way to the both of you xoxoxo

    1. Dear Sweet Sandy - i am gonna have to cut you off of the catnip, lady - bahahahahah! you have had enough - oh bahaahhaha! that is way tooo funny, Sandy!

oh honey - i wish the airfare was cheaper and i wish that you weren't 7million miles away - cuz if you were here - i would stuff you to the gills - you'd have to go sleep on the couch or the back-deck you'd be so full! and i'd be so proud!

oh Sandy i love dog-paddling and i am a dog-paddler extraordinnaire! i am also a really good leopard-crawler - man i got me these awesome talents that just aren't good for anything - bahahahhaah!

we had a great day Sandy, and we needed it after a few days of putting trim down in the kitchen - it looks like crap cuz none of our walls are 45 or 90 degree angles - we took all of the old trim off and replaced it and it still looks like sh*t - arghghghghghghgh!

anyway - enough about the stupid trim - we had an awesome day at the river. honey i am here all week for you, k? xoxoxoxo

  2. Sunsets are much prettier than sunrises, not that I have seen many sunrises or even want to see a sunrise. I just remember that most sunrises have harsh colors. The river is certainly blue! I have a penchant for foot-touching when sleeping with a partner.

  4. Oh wow sis - These may well be some of your finest pictures. The sunset is awesome and the boyz are just too cute ! I love how they find the best spots for a lie down. The catnip tire is hilarious !

You now live well Frankie ! For a second I thought the Manor was behind you - and you had dog- paddled all that distance. Then you would deserve gold ! Bahahahah !

Your plate looks like mine - flooded with gravy. So glad you had an awesome day together !

Great post hon - Love You Always ! xoxoxoxo

    1. oh i am so glad that you liked them, sis! sooo glad! i must admit - the sunsets here are pretty awesome. and the fishermen here say that if there is pink and purple in the sky at sunset, then the next day will be a sunny, scorcher. and they are right - bahahahahah! those boys are such little monsters but you will love them sis! we always had a catnip tire for the 2 boys back in the city and it was hilarious watching them in it - Barley-Mow would just lay in it. Noodie-Noo would stalk it for hours, sneak up on it for hours, and then finally POUNCE! and fall promptly to sleep - it was sad! they both seem to let Frankly have this tire - i have a big pot of catnip on the porch and i give them each a leaf from it daily. Frankly goes out to the tire, rolls in it, eats some, near destroys it and then sleeps. it is nice that they are letting him have his "little place" - they are all getting along so good - fills my heart it does!

bahahahahahahah! oh ya - that would have been a long dog-paddling distance for sure - oh bahahahahahahaha! i just read that to jambaloney and he said "she's an idiot"! oh Helga - bahahahahahahahah - i am laughing so hard right now!!!! crap - i can't stop laughing - cuz the idea of me swimming the width of the river??? not unless a bobcat was dog-paddling behind me!!! nope, i only swimming a few feet at a time - bahahahahahah!

oh ya - we both loves the gravy! and i loves you forever! and a day! xsoxoxoxoxo!

  8. I think I need catnip, but with my luck I'd be allergic. I'm in a world of pain lately. Crippling pain. Life was starting to look up, then "wham" big time. So I came here to get soothed looking at cats enjoying life. If they could make the peace sign, they would. I'm sorry they don't have thumbs.

Stud and I sleep facing in opposite directions, but our feet are always in contact with each other's calves. Until we go to sleep, we rhythmically rub each other's arms while we're cuddling until we lull each other into rolling over and zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

    1. oh lotta joy - i am so sorry to hear that you are in such pain - i hate hearing that!!! do you want me to send you some dried catnip to try? all 3 cats said that next time they will make the peace sign for you, thumbs be damned!

i am so glad that you got your gorgeous Stud...you deserve him! xoxoxoxox

    2. All my life I thought I wanted someone like Stud, yet I knew they were only a figment of my imagination and someone written about in fantasy novels.

SURPRISE! And he's better than anything my imagination could dream up!!!

  10. What wonderful food. I've had very long days at work so have just had salads with sliced grilled meat and some fruit and cottage cheese. (OK and a cookie) Not very exciting.

On the plus side, EJ and I are going to a two day tractor and steam engine show in Central IND (the biggest in the country). All kinds of antique tractors and farm equipment and the most wonderful things made out of steam engines, food and crafts. We went last year and had a wonderful time (and last year he showed up with a cooler with sour cream pastry turnovers filled with bacon, goat cheese and spinach and a little dish of spiced pecans, both of which he made).

This year I'm bringing, meats, homemade salads, pitas, fruit cheese and praline snickerdoodles.

    I'm getting hungry again.

oh i hope that you and EJ have a wonderful time at the show. so nice of him to show up with such goodies - i would have eaten my face off - bahahahahah! be sure to take pics of the food you bring AND the event! we'll all want to see the pics of the food and that great event.

  12. I like to swim as well. It is the best exercise to work the most muscles. How cold is the water now, and how warm does it get up there in the summer. We think the water is cold at 72 deg. Nothing like a good swim followed by a good meal.

    1. Dear Duke - swimming IS the best exercise! so is floating in the water, laying in knee-deep water and playing minnow with the minnows and of course, dog-paddling - bahahahahahahah! at the warmest our water might be close to 70...maybe...if you held the thermometer the right way. we start swimming in it and stay swimming in it at about 60degrees. this water is freezing - like freezing. but if you love swimming - ya gotta grin and bear it!

    2. I think I would need my wet suit for 60 deg.

I just love Franky--he looks so much like Pirate Jack the cat.
One of these days, I shall ask for a special rock from the River at the Manor, so I may put it in my fish tank and forever stare at it.. : )
