for my friend Sue

my friend Sue is a very dear friend. i met her several years ago on the internet. she lives on the mainland part of nova scotia. we haven't met in person yet, and have plans on going to visit her and her husband at the end of May/beginning of June (after we get the garden in).

Sue and her husband will also be coming to visit us at the end of August (after the majority of the harvest is in).

Sue's husband has family near us and recent circumstances have made it such that they will be coming here in the near future. we will get to meet earlier than we planned! we are all pretty excited about it!

Sue made potstickers yesterday for her husband's birthday - how cool is that?

Sue asked in an email if we got snow last night as they had gotten snow where she lives. she mentioned how pretty it was. these pics are for her to show her that we got the pretty snow, too.

as this has been the first time this winter that we got pretty and sticky snow - we ran out and made Sue a snowman. i mean a snowwoman. i hope you like it Sue!

and Max, buddy, we thought of you, too! we tried.

this snow won't last as it is already melting. and then spring is just around the corner - woohoo! so we will enjoy this snow today, play in it, throw snowballs for the cats to chase and maybe make a few more snow angels.

  2. JUGM - i hope the boys will like it! as you can see in the pics, we didn't get a ton of snow and after rolling the balls a bit, we were picking up a pile of dirt and sticks and stuff or we would have made the snowman bigger. if it snows again, we'll make a bigger snowman for the boys!

  3. Kymber and Jamie, that is one beautiful snow woman. I am sitting here in tears of all things because I wanted to make one this morning - the snow was so perfect - but I don't have the coordination to get the first ball started nor the strength to lift the balls when I finish rolling for the snowman. Thank you for making my day complete :-)

    1. The tears were because of your thoughtfulness, not because I wanted to play in the snow. lol Just thought I would clarify that :-)

  4. Sue - when we saw how beautiful it was when we woke up, we knew we had to do something fun. then i received your email and i knew that you were seeing what we were seeing - and i thought - let's go make a snow "woman" for Sue! jambaloney was all for it! we would have made a bigger one but all the dirt and sticks were getting in the balls! your poor little snow woman is already melting - the sun is shining like mad and everything is drip, drip, dripping! i am really glad that you liked our snow woman! xox always, sweepea!

  6. Hi my friend Kymber and thank you very much for your comment today on my blog. I have to disagree with you on the comment that you made today, and i love your comments and the only repeating that id like to see from you is more of your well thought out comments. I get very passionate when i talk about animals, so it was a pleasure for me to post today's topic. I plan at some point to visit a puppy mill, well lets say i will attempt to visit one and see how that goes, and ill try and make it a Amish or Mennonite operated one. You will love Canada Kymber and i used to go there as much as i could when i lived in New York state, so i look forward to you talking about that trip on a post i hope on your blog. Richard

  7. Do Not be Fooled. That is obviously fake snow and I have recent intelligence reports that suggest Kymber and Jamby are actually living in a condo outside of Palm Beach. They are both trust fund babies from some old Wall Street money who are laughing at us "Hicks" and pretending so they can get in with us deeper.

We are not sure what their final plan is yet but we will know before too long. Stay Tuned!!!

Oh ya and they had that snow for the poor snow woman flown in specially from the mountains outside of Reno to complete their deception.

    1. listen PioneerP - i AM NOT A ROTHSCHILD! i mean it! and i resemble that remark!

mountains of Reno were not used in the making of this post - we had snow flown in from Alberta - and all of my family, except my father (who is a limey) were born there so it is allowed!

      i am not a Rothschild! Winston...ummm... i could use some help here....buddy????

    1. Ya know Rob I think you're correct the complexion is kinda the same and I bet those bunny ears would wilt into a scarf type thing when they got wet.

      Very observant of you!!!

    3. After looking closely it isn't the bunny ears but the dress that shrank up from the tub water. Ya thats it.... It is even the same color.
