some of this and some of that

kind of a grey and foggy day today...good news tho...cuz it rained like you wouldn't believe all last night! all of the garden beds are soaked through and it looks like we're planting potatoes on monday and transplanting tomatoes into their forever homes on monday - woohoo!

here's jambaloney's crazy dremel too sets...the one on the left his parents got for him...the second set he bought on sale from canadian tire....between the two sets we can do anything dremel!

not only scarify my lotus seeds...

but also do my fingernails! i practiced on a few nails and it works wonders!

dinner was a lobster sandwich. how awful eh? plain, fresh-baked bread, some lobster mashed up with some helman's and salt and pepper. you cannot go wrong with that. jambaloney had some of our hot peppers that we grew over the winter and cried like a baby while eating them!

last evening's sky...sooo beautiful!

but yes it has been cloudy and foggy the last few days - we don't mind...there's a place for everything in the universe! tomorrow is supposed to be cloudy and foggy again - no worries. today, we cleaned out all of the tomatoe tires, jambaloney made us a new salad bar, we cleaned out the greenhouse to get ready for the tomatoes, we ate delicious lobster and for supper we are having chicken with a tom yung goong broth and a bunch of veg. before that we are watching something to make us laugh on netflix...even tho we have had several good belly laughs today ( we learned years ago that you should try to have several good belly laughs a day and we got that one nailed) and then we are napping.

we made choices in our lives that got us here. my man could have worked 5 more years in the city getting ulcers...or he could be working here (we never planned on this. this is a gift!). he has been working for most of the day and he is ensuring that our friends have jobs for the next several years. we are really happy. and tired. and need naps. i hope that all of you can find a good space in your life where you can live the way that you want.

    1. Sol - there is a quote by somebody, somewhere - i can't remember...but it goes like this:

if you have the ability to desire something - then that means you have the ability to acquire it.

something like that. so it's like my favourite quote from the movie field of dreams, which goes:

if you build it, they will come.

i say that quote to myself all of the time.

and hey - swing by some time and i'll make you a lobster sandwich! xoxox

    1. Rat - we have a knack of being able to get each other through things - it's an absolute blessing! it's not that we don't go through hard times or whatnot - it's that when we do - one of us is always there for the other. and yes - we made some good decisions in our lives. none of this is through luck. xoxo

  3. Keep all those balls you are juggling in the air. You always seem to get everything done, come what may. We had to take the dogs to the county's rabies clinic today. I have been dreading it but it wasn't so bad and it's done now. One day at a time.

    1. Harry, buddy - we do the same as you - one day at a time. we have plans for tomorrow, plans for next week, plans for next month, plans for next year - but we do it one day at a time. jam grabs my feet and hauls me back down to earth when i start floating to the clouds...and i haul him out of the quicksand and onto solid ground when he gets too dragged down by gravity. we work well together. xoxo

    1. Dani - we have donated to help the people in Fort McMurray. i am grateful that the province started evacuating people long before they absolutely had to. as with any terrible storm or fire, the province asks the government to call in the military. our military are some of the best and they will contain this fire soon. we have been praying for the people in Fort McMurray.
