Remembrance Day

Canada does not get the recognition it deserves for WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf Wars, Somalia, Haiti, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan....and a pile of other wars that my countrymen have served and fought in.

i remember. and i thank my fellow countrymen always.

to all serving members and veterans out there - in Canada, the US, GB, Australia...i salute and thank you all today.

  1. Kymber again thank you for your service to the north. To me it doesn't matter what branch or country you serve, you still put your life on the line to protect your county and countryman.

  2. Thank you for your Service Kymber.

"Battles which are particularly notable to the Canadian military include the Battle of Vimy Ridge, the Dieppe Raid, the Battle of Ortona, the Battle of Passchendaele, the Normandy Landings, the Battle for Caen, the Battle of the Scheldt, the Battle of Britain, the Battle of the Atlantic, the strategic bombing of German cities, and more recently the Battle of Medak Pocket, in Croatia." -Wikipedia

Interesting that you call it Remembrance Day. Ours is Veteran's Day. I wonder if anyone still calls it Armistice Day?

  3. I know you folks do good work. Hell, one whole hour long segment of "Tank Battles" was dedicated to the Canadians fighting their way up the Italian peninsula. Ichi Ban, girlsan!

Hey, sorry my stupid spell checker changed "Kymber" to "Member" on that response to your comment. I was worn out and didn't catch it. Wish I knew how to disable that feature!

  5. You only have to see Juno Beach in Normandy to see what Canadians did. The museum there is amazing. I also thank all Veterans and serving forces, we are free because of them.

  6. Hey Gurlie..... Thank you for your service ! I will never forget the Canadian Navy Ships pulling in to port, they would make a mad dash for the phone center to call home. Of course that was early 90s before cell phones and such but gosh could those guys party

Hope you and Jam are well....
