I so love swiss chard, it makes for a great side dish or a complete meal of it's own. You planted 5 kinds of carrots, I didn't know there were that many. Are they different colors too?
Now, I would have gone swimming in the cold river. Where I was born in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan we would swim in Lake Superior and that water would get down right cold. Your skies and clouds are amazing they remind me of Wyoming and Montana. Those views you have, I would never get tired of. Maybe when we retire we should move up your way. It's a thought. Hubby and I are looking at possibly buying land within the next couple of years. We should put Canada on the list to check out.
Love the pictures my friend, take care.
SandySandy Livesayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06183449816586125720noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3136150101440535605.post-36247859019987312612012-05-14T15:19:06.309-03:002012-05-14T15:19:06.309-03:00me, too, Ed buddy! every morning when we wake up i...me, too, Ed buddy! every morning when we wake up i go and immediately look out the window - it's always the same. beautiful and gorgeous. then we go walk around the yard - still the same. later in the day we take a walk to the river - still the same. it's dazzling to the eyes, the mind and the soul. thanks for stopping in, my friend!kymberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02607117635648274823noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3136150101440535605.post-48456870655014592402012-05-14T15:17:38.046-03:002012-05-14T15:17:38.046-03:00Akannie - it is sooo beautiful and serene....we en...Akannie - it is sooo beautiful and serene....we enjoy walking down to the river all year long but this time of year is the best! garlic is one of those forgiving kinds of plants...in my experience, you can pretty much plant it whenever. you can overwinter it as well. these garlic will be left to overwinter and we will pull them up in the spring. garlic is easy and awesome to grow - go get a bulb...pull all of the little cloves off and plant them. you'll love it!kymberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02607117635648274823noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3136150101440535605.post-76557392674410062722012-05-14T15:15:31.891-03:002012-05-14T15:15:31.891-03:00Max - swim???? swim??? are you serious???? we are ...Max - swim???? swim??? are you serious???? we are talking water temps of about 9-10C (49ish F) - are you freakin crazy?!?!?!?! you are more than welcome to jump in buddy but i need that water to be at least 10 more degrees !!!

ya - take more pics. i love blog posts that are filled with pics!kymberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02607117635648274823noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3136150101440535605.post-78833629320887362792012-05-14T15:13:49.478-03:002012-05-14T15:13:49.478-03:00Matt, buddy, i left home 26 years ago and i always...Matt, buddy, i left home 26 years ago and i always dreamed of, and remembered the beautiful blue skies....sometimes i thought my memories were exaggerated. but since returning home, i have not been let down. every day the sky is more beautiful and blue...and even on cloudy days it is still beautiful! my memory did not fail me! and now i get to look at these skies every day. thanks buddy!kymberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02607117635648274823noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3136150101440535605.post-49828049271912481282012-05-14T15:11:54.350-03:002012-05-14T15:11:54.350-03:00it is so pretty Michele - i hope that you and your...it is so pretty Michele - i hope that you and yours can come and visit it someday! i would put the tribe to work until noon - then they can play in the river until supper - i think it would work out - bahahahah! gardens are getting there...fingers crossed! xoxokymberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02607117635648274823noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3136150101440535605.post-75738225686955581142012-05-14T15:10:32.831-03:002012-05-14T15:10:32.831-03:001st Man - it really is beautiful - we love being h...1st Man - it really is beautiful - we love being here sooooo much! we are lucky to have such a gorgeous property and we always give thanks - pretty much everytime we are out in the yard! we couldn't be more grateful but we try! we soooo love it here! our property is way up high on a hill so we don't worry about flooding...although sometimes if the river backs up then it will sog out our suntanning area at the river...but only a few feet in. make sense?kymberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02607117635648274823noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3136150101440535605.post-31045370047684953002012-05-14T13:56:05.712-03:002012-05-14T13:56:05.712-03:00I'm still in a daze from the pictures....I'm still in a daze from the pictures....Edhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13214319366049620074noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3136150101440535605.post-73849772172824495652012-05-14T13:48:18.557-03:002012-05-14T13:48:18.557-03:00How beautiful and serene...glad you had such a goo...How beautiful and serene...glad you had such a good day...isn't it a little late for planting garlic??
