i'm a whiney baby...

ugh. i just don't feel good. it's day 3 of the monthly....sorry if that is too much information for my male readers!

i just don't feel good. i have cramps, my back is killing me and someone is working a jack-hammer on my head.

today was the Fourchu Community Potluck Supper. and then the Halloween Dance. i barely managed to make a pot of stew to contribute. then i set our apartment-sized oven on fire when i was baking the blueberry oatmeal cookies.

it was all just too much. i was really tired. and just not feeling well. i had to call all of our friends - S, G, C and tell them that i just didn't think i could make it out today. i feel like i let all of my friends down.

jambaloney had to drive to Fourchu to deliver the stew....i just couldn't do it!

i haven't done my blog rounds in days...please forgives? i promise to catch up soon. just give me a day or two. my head is pounding and the sun was way too bright today??? i'm a sun baby, but when i am like this i become very vampiric!

i feel like a whiney baby.

he's in bed. he appreciated all of your comments of support to him. i no longer want to kill him. i wish i hadn't have let all of our friends down.

my sister Helga sent me very supportive emails. i am really, really tired but unable to sleep.

  1. I am on day five and want to take no prisoners. No headaches. Just feel like I have been body slammed. I will feel better in five more days. I hope you are better before then. Setting something on fire is about par for the course for me. I somehow knocked off two pounds of elbow macaroni onto the floor. I am a klutz at that time. I had to vaccum..ugh...didn't feel like vacuuming.

I broke both thumbnails and three other nails this last week! A menstrual hut where I can go and do nothing seems like a good idea to me. Can you imagine how happy those women must have been when they were banished at that time of the month...yah, men know we have power. Just kidding about liking banishment

Either I cannot sleep or want to sleep all the time. I no longer have headaches.

    1. lol- I said that to Husband once. I want to be banished for being 'unclean'. He thought I was off my rocker. Seriously? No kids to feed, no people to irritate me, no chores to do... Please banish me!

  5. Kymber,

Here I sit laughing my head off. Not knowing any of this was going on Jambe gets it from everybody there AND he gets it from me too for other reasons. I admit I heaped it on as hard as the others, but AHHHH! Ignorence is bliss.

Buck up dearie, your better half is made of tough stuff. But I will be a little easier on him near future. HAHAHAHAHAHHAAAAA Wish I was closer so I could help him build Jamie's Doghouse, ROTFLMHO.

  6. Have heard that if you place a lemon, cut in half, on your temples it helps ease the pain.

    Hope it helps :)

  11. My "Aunt Rosie" showed up this morning for her visit.. This is what happens when women become friends, even their bodies adjust to the same clock. I know the headache, and cramps... Both boys were up way to early..so I flipped on a Scooby Doo movie for them and went back to bed...uggggg.
Feel better soon! don't worry about being whiney and such..I am actually glad I have another woman out there that does not mind talking about such things.
I am just glad mine came before our camping trip this next weekend.. cuz that would sux even worse to be on a camping trip and Aunt Rosie show up. ick!

  13. I am sorry you are not feeling well. I keep waiting for menopause, because I am old enough now, but it never comes ! I hope you are back to your happy comfy self again soon.

    1. Jane,
Menopause does not make life better, just more hellish for me. I have been taking estrogen for 21 years so I can sleep, think, drive safely, and not kill someone who crosses me. Then, I have to take progesterone to induce a period so I don't die of uterine cancer. I refuse to take progesterone more than once every three months because it is ten days of estrogen-induced pms and then ten days of bleeding. Then, the rest of the month is resting from the first 20 days.

If I don't take the estrogen, I have hot flashes, run through red lights, have strong urge to kill, am clumsy, and am not happy ever, and no one likes me, not even me. No, will not try any soy or herbs.

Fortunately, libido remained intact, but who would want to even talk to me if I were in such a foul mood all the time?

      Sorry, pregnant mares!

    3. Jane,
I was in a store and a woman said to me, "Oh, I never let menopause slow me down. I don't take anything." Stupid woman! I have not "let" hot flashes leave me in a limp heap. You may get lucky.

    4. Linda, The way things are going, atrial fibrillation and sudden death are likely to get me before I ever cross the threshold into menopause !
My mother did not have symptoms during menopause at all, so I accept that some women do not. As an RN I only ever saw the women who DID have difficulties. The ones who do well, don't mention it ! LOL

  14. Geeze Louise hon - I'm NOT going to say heartfelt I'm so sorrys anymore today. I'm out of words - bahahahahah !! And you called me an attention seeker once or twice - huh !?!? Bahahahahhah again !!

But, I DO have to say that you gotta STOP beating yourself up about letting people down. Even they DON'T think like that - so why are you !?!? Cut it out already. No wonder you can't sleep !

For crying out loud - relax, because there's always another supper, dance, supper, dance, supper, dance ....

I wish I was there right now to help you. I'm not, so I'll have to write a million emails til you stop using the *he* term of reference. It did stop once here - so there's hope.

You'll feel better soon my sweetest - you're tough as steel ! Nap as much as you can if you can't get a full nights sleep. Or call me as I'm always up into the night - around 1 or 2 anyways.

    Hugs to J !

Love you sis, always, forever and a day !

  16. Glad to hear Jambaloney survived a truck wreck on the eve of Aunt Flo's monthly visit. That combination could have easily been lethal!

  17. The ups and downs of life. You are having a downer but I have read your many magnificent ups. Headaches and cramps are enough to make any woman feel in a black mood. Rest yourself to health and don't worry about commitments just now. The world will continue to revolve. So glad that you and your honey didn't tumble all the way down the mountain. By the way J., I am a driver of forty-five years and I still weave when I have to back up. Take care now.

  18. I do hope you feet better soon, and the little remnant of Hurricane Sandy don't wander that far over in your direction.

I've a nice new recipe for pasta salad my daughter has made up that is Hawaiian in origin (her adoptive Mom is native Hawaiian) and has viniger in it. I am busy tomorrow taking a friend to the hospital for some diagnostic stuff but will email it by the weekend. It would perk anyone up.

    Big hug.

  21. Kymber, I'm sure things have returned to normal for you (it's been 4 days since you wrote this post), but I have to tell you this.

I was having tea with a friend a week ago and she said that if she gets to the pearly gates and there's a suggestion box... lol

I'm rootin' for ya girlie. It's a tough old go of it sometimes. Be well :-)
